Debbie Denler
Division Manager, CAAS
Debbie Denler is the Division Manager for CAVs at TydeCo™. The recruiter did an excellent job winning her over by emphasising the company's dedication to work-life balance. This was a big draw for her because she thrives when working from home.
In fact, she's far more productive working from home than working in an office full of distractions. This kind of discipline is important because Debbie includes a small side business (baking custom cookies for special occasions) in her balance.
About
Debbie is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and a CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), although her initial role at TydeCo™ was not particularly finance-related. Instead, she was the Customer Success Manager and was responsible for onboarding new clients from other firms, scope of works, and revising proposals.
Her talents were soon recognised and when TydeCo™ restructured its CAAS division, Debbie was in charge. The role suits her to a T because she's one of those rare people who thrive on change. She loves it when meetings get cancelled or new calls are added because it keeps her on her toes and ensures every day is different and exciting.
It's not all work and no play. She takes a lot of classes in her free time and is now something of an expert at making homemade pies and sourdough bread. She also loves camping and off-roading with her husband, especially in local sand dunes.
Expertise
Debbie's expertise might have started in finance, but her skills have evolved and now she's one of the most successful division leaders at TydeCo™. This is largely due to her leadership style, which is primarily supportive, providing the space and confidence team members need to turn up and do their best every day.
However, Debbie ensures that everyone is challenged in their roles. This is important from a professional growth and confidence perspective and is a primary motivator that keeps her team engaged and focused.
She's also branched out into sales, which came as a complete surprise. But Debbie loves a challenge. She threw herself into the role and found she actually enjoyed it. Now she has a happy dance, which she breaks out whenever she wins a new client.
She's been doing her happy dance a lot because part of the team's role is to focus on signing on more clients and growing their capacity in the CAAS division.
Kind & supportive leader

"I truly believe everyone wants to do a good job, and my goal is to help them achieve that."
