How to: Import/update the 2022 RSA Public Holidays in your Sage Payroll solution

It’s that time of the year where businesses are getting ready for the new calendar year. For people in Payroll, it means to ensure their Sage Payroll solutions are ready with new public holiday dates for 2022 to ensure the leave calculations are correct.
Here’s the easy steps to import the new calendar year to your Sage Payroll solutions – the Sage 300 People steps are provided at the bottom.
Sage VIP Premier Payroll, Sage VIP Classic and Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional:
Click here to download the 2022 calendar.
Step 1: Save the file on your computer. For example: on your C:\ drive or desktop
Step 2: Leave – Copy Calendar
Step 3: Select Import Calendar
Step 4: Enter 2022 in the Calendar year and select the companies in the To company field
Step 5: Browse and select the file (step 1) that contains the public holidays
Step 6: Click on Import
Sage 300 People:
Click here to download the 2022 calendar specifically for Sage 300 People.
Step 1: Save the file on your computer. For example: on your C:\ drive or desktop
Step 2: Access your payroll system and go to the Company Rule screen
Comp any Management – Company Rule – Select the Company Rule
Step 3: Select Business Day Definition – Click on Import Data
Step 4: Browse and select the file (step 1) that contains the public holidays
Step 5: Click OK and Save
And, you are done! You can now access each company and ensure that the 2022 public holidays have been updated correctly.
Note: It remains your responsibility as a customer to ensure the Public holidays imported are relevant and correct.
